ART
Seeing art at a movie theatre is at first a surprise.
It shouldn't be. Whether the art is painted onto a backdrop, captured by a camera's lens, or welded together in a hot barn, this is an expression born from a desire to communicate. Films often begin with a text or an idea to document an important event. When an artist commits their ideas onto a canvas of any type, they are laying it bare for us to experience.
COMMERCE
There's nothing wrong with commerce, especially if it's presented in a fashion that aligns with the brand and adds to the experience.
Some brands refer to it as 'the third place'; neither home nor work. A movie-going venue needs to be far more than that. It's a place of escape - a place of laughter and emotion - a place to relax with a drink - then sit back and become immersed by the movies.
ENVIRONMENT
What environment are you creating for the filmmakers and the audiences?
We believe it's imperative that the presentation is stellar, the staff is interested and involved, the filmmakers are encouraged and excited at seeing their years of hard work up on the 'big screen'. The audiences should be enveloped by the entire experience.
